Welcome to the Bizzy Bee’s Class

Our 2- and 3-year-olds who are potty trained or almost potty trained are cared for by the kind, nurturing staff in the  Bizzy Bees classroom.

In this class, children have many opportunities to develop important social skills through playtime with classmates and staff. While playing, children also develop language, math, and problem solving skills. Children in the Bizzy Bees class learn to recite and recognize the alphabet, count and recognize numbers, and learn the days of the week through fun, interactive songs and finger plays and daily storybook reading. Structured learning centers and daily crafts allow the children to further develop fine motor and creative skills. Children learn spiritual truths through weekly Bible lessons and monthly chapel services. Daily playground and/or gym time allow children to be physically active while developing gross motor skills.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Bizzy Bees Room.  My name is Ms. Aleshia Bowman and I will be your child’s teacher this fall.
The first day of the Fall Session will be August 27, 2018.  I have worked in the child care field for 13 years, and I am also a mother of 5 children.  I have 1 boy and 4 girls ages ranging from 1 thru 8.  I was the Toddler 2 aide last fall and the Kindergarten lead teacher this summer.  This year will be a fun and educating year for your child.  He/she will be learning to use social and verbal skills along with developing their motor skills.

Your child will need the following items labeled with his/her name:

* Extra set of seasonally appropriate clothing (Shirt, pants, socks, etc.)
* Pull ups or training pants
* Wipes
* One blanket and a crib size sheet for nap time (A pillow is allowed if needed or wanted)
* One small stuffed animal or doll if your child sleeps with one at naptime
* Sun Screen

** Please do not bring other toys from home, accidents do happen and toys may get broken.

As your child shows signs of readiness, we will encourage him or her use the potty as much as needed.  Accidents are expected in the beginning.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding potty training please feel free to ask.   If your child is new to the classroom and staff members do not recognize the person coming to pick them up, including yourself, please expect to be asked for identification.  We do this for the safety and protection of your child.  We ask for your patience and understanding in this matter.   I am looking forward to meeting you and your child.  This is going to be an exciting year for all of us.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at Kinder-Haus.

Sincerely,

Ms. Aleshia Bowman
